It just so happens that on the 22nd June 2018, the young artists of The Gaia Centre will be exhibiting their original and exciting new collection of canvases, furniture and footwear for the very first time at ‘ARTE’ – The Maker’s Market in Times Square Mall, Dubai.
The Gaia Centre’s Art room has been buzzing with energy & ideas to create a collection that will delight the eyes of ARTE visitors. ARTE which is an acronym for ‘Artisans of the Emirates’ is the UAE’s largest handmade designer, art, fashion & craft market. With over 150 contemporary & highly original makers & designers, the ARTE market is a unique place to visit with beautiful products, which include jewellery, clothing, home accessories, furniture, art, & pottery to name a few.
The concept for the exhibition is based on the line ‘EYE DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP’. It has been inspired by many science-fiction books and futuristic theories. What if all the artificial intelligence and robots in our world could dream? What would they dream about? We aim to present a hypnotic world of sci-fi based artworks that celebrate our unavoidable tech-filled future.
At the exhibition you will wander through a selection of original acrylic paintings, color-pencil based creations, exclusive hand-painted furniture, and one-of-a-kind customized pairs of shoes. Unique, bold and exceptional- every big and little piece of artwork you will witness at The Gaia Exhibition at Arte has a young artists dream etched in it. All pieces will be put up for sale at affordable prices.
With three weeks to go, the young artists are working hard in our secret creative lair. They are drawing, painting and completing their exhibition pieces with tons of ingenuity, teamwork, commitment, and love… As you are reading this, we are close to putting the finishing touches on the pieces and we have a feeling you might not want to miss this!
